This is a PDF pattern and tutorial for the creation of this adorable bear poncho. These were specialy designed with toddlers and preschoolers in mind. The idea is that they can actually get the dress up clothes on and off themselves. Plus, in my many years of experience, up until kindergarten kids would rather dress up like animals than pirates or princesses. These ponchos make awesome party favors.

SKILL LEVEL: This pattern is EASY/BEGINNER. I give you instructions to make this pattern fit any size child. I also give instructions for making a jersey version of the pattern for warmer climates.

MATERIALS: This pattern uses under 1 yard of fleece to make 2 ponchos plus some scraps of felt/fleece.

Approximate sewing time: 15-30 minutes start-to-finish based on your sewing skill.
